Typical System Description

EXTERNAL WALL INSULATIONS systems comprises of a layer of insulation such as mineral wool fibre or expanded polystyrene which can be mechanically fixed or bonded to the building substrate followed by reinforced fibre mesh imbedded between two coats of render and finished with a decorative final coat.  ECO-SNUG has a range of different finishes available through our services.

Benefits

Additional problems (other than poor levels of insulation) suffered by some homes such as rain penetration, poor air tightness or frost damage can be solved by our EXTERNAL INSULATION system which is NSAI Agrément certified.

Grant

A Grant is available up to the value of €3600 under the BETTER ENERGY HOMES SCHEME  towards the cost of the installation of EXTERNAL WALL INSULATION in order to achieve a U-Value of 0.27.  Between 25 – 30% of the heat provided in your home may be escaping through the walls if it is not insulated.
